Detailed Itinerary
Day Unique: Fez - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen - Fez
The excursion to Chefchaouen begins early in the morning with pick-up at your hotel or Riad in Fez. We will head north, on a journey of approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, through the hills and then the impressive Rif Mountains. You will enjoy changing landscapes and we will make stops to stretch your legs and take photos.
Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, you will have several hours of free time to explore this magical blue city at your own pace. Get lost in its narrow blue-painted streets and alleys, discover hidden courtyards, and admire the local architecture. Visit Uta el Hammam Square, the heart of the medina, where you will find the Grand Mosque and the Kasbah (Ethnographic Museum). You can climb to one of the nearby viewpoints (such as the Spanish mosque, although the mosque itself is not accessible to non-Muslims) for spectacular panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. Shopping lovers will find unique craft shops offering wool, leather, and local textiles. Lunch will be on your own (not included), with many restaurant and café options in the medina.
In the mid-afternoon, we will meet to begin the return journey to Fez. We will arrive in Fez in the late afternoon / early evening and drop you off at your hotel or Riad, concluding this charming excursion.
