This excursion is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in history, traditional Berber architecture, and the cinematic landscapes of southern Morocco, all in one day from Marrakech.
Detailed Itinerary
Day Unique: Marrakech - Tizi N'Tichka - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
The excursion begins early in the morning with pick-up at your hotel or Riad in Marrakech (or a nearby meeting point). We will leave Marrakech and head southeast, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains. The road trip includes the spectacular Tizi N'Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters, offering impressive panoramic views. We will make stops along the way to take photos and enjoy the scenery.
We will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive fortified adobe village. You will have time to explore this World Heritage Site, stroll through its narrow streets, and climb to the top for a panoramic view of the ksar and the surrounding landscape. After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, we will head to Ouarzazate (approx. 30 min). Here you will have time for lunch (not included) at one of the local restaurants. You can visit the Kasbah Taourirt, former residence of the Pasha of Marrakech, and if you wish and time permits, the Atlas film studios (entrance not included).
In the afternoon, we will begin the return journey to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas again. We will arrive in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon and drop you off at your hotel/Riad or the initial pick-up point, concluding this fascinating excursion.
