Tour itinerary

Day 1 : Casablanca – Marrakech

Upon your arrival at Casablanca airport, a vehicle will be waiting for you to take you to the riad in Marrakech. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy your first contact with Marrakech at your leisure. Free lunch and dinner, accommodation in the Riad.

Day 2: Visit to Marrakech

Breakfast at riad Azalay and appointment with the guide to start the half-day guided tour of the city of Marrakech. You will visit with Fatiha the most emblematic monuments of the city such as the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace and the surroundings of the Koutoubia. Free afternoon to explore the medina at your leisure enjoying the experience of getting lost in the medina of Marrakech walking through its alleys. Free lunch and dinner. Overnight in Riad.

Day 3 : Marrakech – Dades Valley

Pick up at the hotel where you stay in Marrakech at 8 in the morning and start of the route. Departure from Marrakech via the Col Tichka mountain pass, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains making stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the route offers us and to rest or take photos whenever you feel like it. We will continue on our way to Ouarzazate, where After lunch, we continue the route finding the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, an extensive and labyrinthine oasis, whose exuberant vegetation shelters precious secret kasbahs and you can also visit its kasbah. From here we will continue through the Valley of the Roses (famous for their cultivation) towards the Dades Valley, where we will visit the Dades Gorges. Dinner and night in hotel in Dades.

Day 4 : Dades Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of Boulmane, where a road lined with kasbahs (citadel) and ksour (fortresses or castles) opens, whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve. Around us we will find stony plateaus where camels graze. After a journey full of ksour, oases and palm trees, we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located) perched at 1,350 m above sea level and surrounded by a palm grove. We continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) and after passing through Rissai, we will arrive at Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the hotel we will leave what we do not need and the dromedaries await us to enter the desert, while the sun sets, until we reach the tent camp in the middle of the high dune desert, where we will spend the night in a tent. New Year’s Eve dinner and party in a tent under the stars of the desert. Dinner and accommodation in camp.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Fes

After breakfast departure towards Fez, first you will cross the Tafilalet valley, you will enter the Ziz palm grove and you will go up the High Atlas, then you will cross the High Moulouya plateau and the Middle Atlas with its impressive cedar forests, to finally descend to the fertile valley of the Oued Sebou in which Fez is located. Free lunch and dinner. Overnight in Riyadh.

Day 6 : Fes – Fes

Breakfast and visit Fez at your leisure. Fez is the most labyrinthine medina in Morocco and one of the most impressive in the Islamic world, thousands of alleys crisscross this medina in all directions, the different souks divided by craft guilds are spread throughout this maze that seems endless, you can visit some of its madrasahs , the surroundings of the Qarawiyin mosque, according to the first university in the world and the well-known dyers, where the skins are dyed with artisanal techniques. It is advisable to do the visit with a guide who will take you to the different points of interest without delay. Free lunch and dinner. Accommodation in riad.

Day 7 : Fes – Rabat

Breakfast at the riad and transfer to Rabat. Along the way you can make a stop and visit on your own to the city of Meknes, the third imperial city of your tour of Morocco, the dream of Moulay Ismail, a city created by this sovereign to be the capital, but after the death of Moulay Ismail ceased to be. After the stop you will continue towards Rabat, the fourth and last imperial city of your tour.     En Merzouga recomiendo la excursión en quad por las dunas, asi como la noche en las jaimas y el paseo en dromedario. Amar fue super atento a nosotros y nos explicó muchísimas cosas sobre la zona y la cultura.
