14-Day Best of Morocco Tour from Casablanca

Arrival at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca (CMN). Pick-up and brief panoramic tour of Casablanca, including an external visit to the Hassan II Mosque. Then, transfer to Rabat, the capital of Morocco (approx. 1 hour). Check-in at the hotel. Visit the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Overnight in Rabat.

After breakfast, continue the visit in Rabat exploring the Kasbah of the Udayas. Then travel to the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. Time to stroll through its picturesque blue streets, explore the medina, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, depart from Chefchaouen heading south. Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Meknes, another imperial city, to visit the Bab Mansour gate and other key sites. Free lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight in Fez.

Full day dedicated to exploring Fez with an official local guide. Visit the labyrinthine medina (Fes el-Bali), the Bou Anania Medersa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the famous tanneries, the Karaouine Mosque (exterior), and the souks. Free afternoon to continue exploring or shopping. Overnight in Fez.

After breakfast, leave Fez and begin the journey to the desert. Cross the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou. Stop for lunch (not included) in Midelt. Continue through the Ziz Valley and its palm groves until reaching Merzouga, near the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight at a hotel or Riad.

Full day to explore the desert area. Visit the village of Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music, meet nomadic families, or visit the fossil mines. Free lunch. In the afternoon, camel ride to venture into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the sunset, dinner, and night in a Berber camp in the heart of the desert.

Wake up early to see the sunrise in the dunes. Return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga. Breakfast. Departure towards the west. Visit Rissani. Continue to Tinghir to explore the Todra Gorges. Transfer to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at a Riad or hotel in the Dades Valley.

After breakfast in Dades, we'll travel through the Roses Valley and the Skoura oasis. Continue to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah Taourirt. Then we'll head towards the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the free lunch, the route continues towards the south through the Ait Saoune pass until Agdz, at the beginning of the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight at a Riad or Kasbah in Agdz or surroundings.

After breakfast, we'll continue descending through the extensive palm grove of the Draa Valley, dotted with kasbahs. Visit Tamegroute to see its library and pottery workshops. We'll pass through Zagora. The route deviates then towards the west, through more arid landscapes and Berber villages like Tazarine and Alnif. We'll continue through a mountain pass in the Anti Atlas until we reach Taroudant. Dinner and overnight at a Riad in Taroudant.

After breakfast, we'll explore Taroudant, known as the "little Marrakech", strolling through its medina and souks. Then, we'll head towards the Atlantic coast, passing through Agadir (possible panoramic stop). Continue along the coast until the fortified city of Essaouira. Arrival in the afternoon. Stroll through the port and medina. Overnight at a Riad in Essaouira.

Free day to enjoy Essaouira at your own pace. Explore its medina declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stroll through the walls, visit the port, enjoy the beach, or explore its numerous art galleries and craft shops. Essaouira is perfect for relaxation. Overnight in Essaouira.

After breakfast in Essaouira, we'll have the morning free to enjoy the city. After the free lunch (recommended fresh seafood at the port), we'll return to Marrakech (approx. 2.5-3 hours of travel). Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Check-in at your Riad or hotel. Rest of the day free to give a first walk around the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Full day dedicated to exploring Marrakech with an official local guide. The visit includes the Kutubia Mosque (exterior), the Saadíes Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. Free lunch. The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring the Jemaa el-Fna square, Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and the vibrant souks that surround it. Overnight in Marrakech.

After breakfast at your Riad or hotel in Marrakech, you'll have free time for last minute shopping or visits. At the agreed time, our driver will pick you up for the transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) for your departure, or to any other point in the city as needed. End of our services.
