Detailed Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga (Desert)
We begin our tour by picking you up from your accommodation in Fez. We'll travel south through the Middle Atlas mountains. We'll pass through Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," and stop at the cedar forest near Azrou to observe Barbary macaques. We'll continue to Midelt for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, the route takes us through the picturesque Ziz Valley and its palm groves to Erfoud. From here, it's a short journey to Merzouga, where your desert adventure will begin. You'll ride a camel to the camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes. You'll enjoy the sunset, a traditional dinner, and a night under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
After seeing the spectacular sunrise and having breakfast at the camp, you'll return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga. Our route continues west. We'll visit Rissani (possibly its market if it coincides). Then we'll head to Tinghir to explore the impressive Todra Gorges, a canyon with rock walls up to 300m high. After a walk through the gorges, we'll continue to the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and kasbahs. Dinner and accommodation in a Riad or hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 3: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breakfast, we'll leave the Dades Valley heading to Marrakech. We'll pass through Kelaa M'Gouna (Valley of the Roses) and Ouarzazate, visiting the Taourirt Kasbah. We'll continue to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to explore it. After lunch (not included), the route crosses the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N'Tichka pass (2260m).
